My second collaboration with Car Seat Headrest, I was very excited to create a poster and pared down version of the design for a city specific tee.

With the tour in support of CSH’s latest rock opera concept album The Scholars (set at warring universities) and the Boston metro being home to over 50 colleges, it felt very appropriate to draw inspiration from the world of higher education. With elements drawn from the narrative of The Scholars and reworking of characters into retro-style mascots, it’s a colorful composition nodding to the vintage collegiate postcards of yore.
